MailBench SMTP gives you a hosted SMTP server at smtp.example.com that captures every message your app sends, a dashboard to inspect them, and an API to test them automatically.
Capture-only SMTP
A real SMTP server that accepts mail and keeps it. It never delivers anything onward.
- Connect on port 587 (STARTTLS), 465 (TLS) or 2525 when your network blocks the usual ports.
- Works with any mailer or framework that can send through SMTP. No SDK and no code changes.
- Every message stops in your inbox. There is no setting that forwards mail to real recipients, so a staging bug cannot reach a customer.
An inbox per project
Keep dev, staging and QA apart. Each inbox has its own SMTP credentials.
- Separate inboxes per project or environment, each with its own username and password.
- Read every message as rendered HTML, plain text, raw source or full headers.
- Messages are deleted automatically when your plan’s retention period ends.
HTML, link and spam checks
See problems before an email ships.
- HTML checks flag markup that is likely to break in email clients.
- Link checks find broken links in the message.
- A spam check gives each message a spam score.
REST API and “wait for email” for CI
Assert on real emails in your end-to-end tests.
- List and fetch the messages in an inbox over a REST API.
- The wait-for-email endpoint returns as soon as a matching message arrives, or times out, so tests don’t need sleeps or polling loops.
- Runs in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or any pipeline that can make an HTTP request.

- Send an HTTP request to your own endpoint for each new message in an inbox.
